    Do they?

Being your own independent country is not without its challenges. I don't find it out of the realm of possibility that the other lords thought staying as part of one big country was the better move.

For a show that so many lauded for “realism” I don’t know how Jon’s assassination of Dany doesn’t lead to a whole nother seven seasons about a whole new war for power rather than a bunch of rich people, most of whom don’t seem to have any reason to believe Bran has superpowers, would just agree that he should be king because he has superpowers and oh yeah it’s totally cool if the North wants to secede

I shook my head at that as well. Might as well just not have a main king and everyone becomes a king.

I think most of them were either dead or sick of fighting at that point

Why didn’t everyone just say who John was and that he had the right to the throne?

Outcomes were fine. In a vacuum, this episode was satisfying, I had some nitpicks, like how the hell is the wall repaired and could Drogon burning the throne have more cheese, but overall it was a good ending.
But really we could have had 3 episodes leading up to to Tyrion's trial or whatever that was? I kind of feel robbed. There was so much story before that to be told. Another 2 seasons really would have helped.

When the last 2-3 episodes had his only lines alternate between “I dun wan et” And “sheez muh Queen” i gave up on him

This show did Dany so fucking dirty. The last three episodes should have been like, a two season long arc. And again, I CANT BELIEVE THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE RUNTIME FOR THE SERIES FINALE IN A SERIES SO BUILT ON HER PRESENCE WAS CONTENT TO ACT LIKE SHE NEVER EXISTED

Thought this as well. Like I could have totally seen them bringing up the fact he is both fire and ice.

Not understanding the Bran the Broken hate...it’s a good call back to the books, and to season 1 episode 4

Happy with the way the show ended (except for Jon being super bummed out at the end), but the true ending will be in the books. I'm okay with it being two different things.

But it doesn't matter because he doesn't want to be king. They're throwing the whole monarchy thing out the window anyway.

I mean, seriously, why the hell would he accept that punishment and not pull out that card? Or anyone else that cared about him?

Oh, well, I didn’t read the books so I didn’t know that was a reference. Just sounded cheesy as hell to me.

That was bizarre. The only context it was mentioned was in relation to him being unsafe with Dany. Him getting voted king and then exiling himself would have been hilarious.

For some reason I think we get a different ending in the books. I just don't see how it won't be, think they might be some crossover for some characters but just not sure the main ending is in the book.

Ahhhhhhh. I’m much happier with that ending than I thought I ever would be. I honestly thought the finale was by far the best episode of the season. I’m sure people will hate it just because, but I’m content not nitpicking it yet lol

So is Jon the Queenslayer now?

What was going on at Castle Black? Was there any semblance of a Night’s Watch that you could tell? Did Jon just immediately become the new Lord Commander?

Jon ended up in a position very similar to Tyrion when he was on trial by his family and hypothetically suggested taking the black.

The death scene was not convincing to me at all. Hell, I empathized more with the notion and look of Drogon losing his mother after already losing both his brothers.

The scene at the end where the new small council meeting was set - those were the kind of scenes we needed more of this season and it’s a shame they just barely started now to tap into that at the conclusion.

Jon deserved way better. I still cannot believe no one suggested him for King when all they have done is hype him up the last few seasons. I can see the scene with Bran narrating in the background, “he’s never been a bastard, he’s the one true king” or something along those lines. Bran recognized him sf the true heir until all of a sudden they forget about him. Also, did Bran tell us at one point he considers himself no longer Brandan stark and that he couldn’t hold titles anymore?
