Still on this side of the grass

Haha yeah. I got it when it was released but didn't read it right away. Man, girls girls girls... ha

Yeah, all the time. Some of them I didn't know he had talked to or dated. The stuff about his family growing up was really crazy. Definitely didn't realize how much drug usage was going on either.

Well yeah, was just trying not to be so blunt about it haha.

Realizing he's losing his grip on the spotlight. Must do everything in his power to stay relevant while blink releases their new album on Friday.

    It's sad to see. Truly.

It's definitely no later than 9pm PDT, since I'm in Central and have gotten stuff at 11pm before.

  8. I have no such reservations after reading the posts.

Tom should remain silent and then on Friday just release a tweet that says

"If you like it, you'd have loved it with me."

The path he's currently going? Wouldn't surprise me a damn bit. The dude has been an egomaniac as of late.

Yeah I didn't realize it was to that extent. I like the line, "I had to relearn how to do everything sober. I had to learn how to drive sober." Haha. Plus the pictures and detailed descriptions of being in the hospital... gnarly.

Doesn't approach the excellence that is "Self-Titled", but is still a pretty solid album

It might just be me but I don't get how people can rank a new album when they've only had it a few days. I'm a firm believer you have to wait for the dust to settle so to speak and then come to a conclusion on where it fits in the bands catalog.

Anyone saying this is above Enema or the Self-Titled (my personal favourite) when it's still early days is crazy talk.

Each to their own I suppose!

I wouldn't be surprised if Tom said he somehow contributed to this album even though he didn't. Maybe one of the songs was an old jam that was gonna make an album when he was in the band, even though they clearly shelved all the songs when meeting Feldy.

This whole situation with Tom is pretty sad. Him tweeting at Travis and stuff is just fucking with the fans more than anything. Leaving blink is probably the best thing that has happened to the band and the worst thing that has happened to Tom. He's struggling to keep the spotlight.

They did the same thing with Untitled and added a live version of Anthem pt 2 I think.

It comes across as so pathetic to me, dude needs to just zip it for awhile.

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

That has always been included as a bonus track on the international version of Greatest Hits.

It's solid, it's fun, but unfortunately it's not something I'll return to that much. I've listened to it about four times and there's nothing on it that I feel like I'll care about long-term. It lacks substance, I feel. And there's something about Mark Hoppus, a grown man married with children, singing about teenage love that just feels insincere. A lot of the lyrics feel like cliches or mad-lib statements of young high school romance. Like it almost feels like they are writing these songs to cater to a specific, much younger audience rather than writing songs that mean a lot to them which is what made Self Titled feel so special - the emotion on that album felt real and inspired. I'm glad this album exists - Matt does a wonderful job and I love that these guys are just having fun and playing together but it's just not for me. Surely ten years ago it would have been but at this stage in my life I don't see myself regularly spinning this outside of maybe at a barbecue or on the beach as fun background music.
