At this point “real emo” lost lol. Labels have already called so much pop-punk “emo” that 97% of people associate that as the meaning now. Unfortunately, tags and titles are populist and when the masses decide a word has different meaning, there’s nothing we can do to tell 50 million people they are wrong haha.

Especially when the original “emo” bands didn’t even like or accept that term to begin with lol, Ian MacKaye NEVER calls his music “emo” instead of punk rock

i took the day off to get re-enrolled in school and they dont enough advisors in to fit me in today so that's fucking great. they only take same day appointments so i had to roll the dice. i did get a haircut and pet a dog though he sat on my feet and liked me a lot
