as great as self-titled is, Art of Losing and Hearts On Parade are really where that band expanded and shined, great stuff

I went deeper in this "genre" than most people probably did... Not By Choice, Lucky 7, Never Heard Of It, Nine Days.... then obviously Eve 6, Lit, Unwritten Law.

Orgy was my favorite band for a long time. Listened to too much Adema, was really into Papa Roach

I bought that Lifehouse CD but never really got into it, "Crazy For This Girl" is a great song

 

These guys wanted to be NFG without good enough songs, like Sloppy Meat Eaters wanted to be Blink without the hooks.

I have to really give credit to the Atticus compilations for getting me into better music because wow these bands were so bad

I still listen to Eve 6, Lit, and Unwritten Law all the time.

Also throw in that one Jimmie’s Chicken Shack album. I still listen to that one a lot too. Not sure why my infatuation with that one has lasted so long...

PS: If you slow down “Story of a Girl” by Nine Days, it comes the heaviest catchy song you’ll ever hear. (Accidentally discovered that when I played the 7” for that song at 33 rpm and never looked back)

 

So bad. A friend of mine loved them though, I am pretty sure I saw them live once too. I can't even name one song by them now though.

Their self titled album is my favorite, but Elva definitely rules. And Tom DeLonge has a funny little cameo on that album so that makes it even cooler.
