My entire watch of the show was worth it for this thread. We’ve covered so many topics! So many memes! So much Davos!

 

I’ve never felt so much anger and joy than I do in this thread. Wouldn’t trade it for anything!

This is not my favorite show, but this may be my favorite thread.

 

I am very excited for Sunday's series finale. I have made sure that we are fully supplied with drinks and snacks at our household.

 

I do not have any food or drink planned. I’m a big mead drinker/collector so maybe that would be an appropriate choice for the night. Food wise I feel like something hearty would be good, but I don’t think I have enough time that day to cook much.

Also seriously @Anthony_ , I don’t think anyone wants you to peace out. Especially so close to the end!

 

Seriously she's a warriorthe whole show then they embarrass her for being a virgin then she cries over a boy. Okayyyyy

 

I know I already said it, but I definitely don't.

I can't really think of a show that mead would go better with to be honest.

 

I'm excited for the finale. This thread moves too fast for me to keep up during the ep, so I'll have to catch up on the craziness afterwards.

If Davos dies it would be the only time this thread is 100% in agreement with their hatred.

 

From the finale I just want to be a little surprised. Just give me a little unexpected.

 

Davos dying would be devastating. Dude already lost his son and Shireen. He's been through enough!

 

We are hours away from the finale. HOURS. How will storylines end? Who lives? Who dies? Who makes the last joke? Who’s in the last scene? What will life be like without another season awaiting us? We find out in a few short hours folks.

Life won’t be the same without The Big Bang Theory.

feel like Davos honestly could be the last big shock of the show....i say that because I assume we are all expecting one of jon or dany to die, so while it would be a shock to see them go, i think Davos would be bigger mainly because the battles seem like theyre over, so for davos to die, he'd have to be killed by someone close. I think he's fully team Jon now after last week so I could potentially see Dany having him killed but idk, seems unlikely?? I think Davos is safe and ultimately assumes some position of honor wherever he lands once the ashes (pun absolutely intended) settle.

 

I don’t see the problem with this, the latter part I mean. Her entire backstory is littered with building emotional walls to not let anyone in because she secretly loved Renly but new she was ugly and was mocked as Brienne the Beauty her entire young life. She finally after years of trust building with the first guy she’s had feelings for besides Renly, let’s her guard down for him, and he ends up taking her virginity and leaving her to go back to his sister that he clearly never stopped caring about. Of course she cried! That shit would be heart wrenching.

The virginity call out was a little dumber but it’s also drunk Tyrion taking notice of the way she’s looking at Jaime. It’s not unexpected there for him to pull that shit.

 

I would be forced to immediately start a petition wherein we demand that they reshoot that scene in this last episode and have the sword / arrow / dragonfire / Red Keep miss Ser Davos completely and he survives unscathed, or with a little bit of blood and dirt on him but very much not deceased.

 

Anyway. Send Daenerys and Dt

Tbh I would have satisfied if she'd hooked up with Tormund. I felt like they were leading to that and to having her and Jaime be bffs.

But also good on Tormund for taking it well and not being that guy

 

I think it's ok to show one of the strongest female characters being emotional. It's a common stereotype in tv/movies that strong female characters can't be emotional. That said, their relationship is extremely short-lived and the fallout, like a lot of things, would've landed better with a full length season.

edit: Not saying anyone here was arguing that. I'm just drawing from the general online discourse I've seen.

 

I completely and utterly hated everything they did with both Brienne and Jaime after "The Long Night". I desperately wanted them both to survive that battle while I was watching that episode, but in hindsight, and seeing where those characters went, I would have vastly preferred if they had both died heroically fighting side-by-side defending Winterfell from the dead.
