Have Mercy - The Love Life (August 2, 2019)

About the last direction I expected them to take but the song is cool

 

I like it. I haven't liked too much since TEPB, but if they actually took some time to hone in these songs instead of rushing, then I think this could be cool.

 

Yeah wasn't expecting that but I'm on board

 

Their last album did nothing for me but this single definitely has my attention

 

I loved make the best of it. Seems I'm in the minority on that, lmao

 

I remembered liking the last lp quite a bit, then I don't think I ever revisited it lol

 

Not sure who even recorded this other than Brian. Everyone basically quit again after the last tour

Single isn’t bad though

 

Did the dude who was making fun of people's pronouns leave the band or was that the guy who's still in it

 

Not 100 percent sure, but I believe that dude is gone.

Track is pretty good, didn't like their last album too much, but this is solid.

 

Last album had some good stuff, but also some really terrible stuff, and I still think A Place of Our Own is their best work, but this song is cool.

I’ve always been whatever about Have Mercy over the last seven years, but this track is great

 

New song “Heartbeat” is streaming!

 

These songs are amazing, I’m excited about this band for the first time ever

 

Both new songs are decent enough. Hope they grow on me more though.

 

I think they both sound promising enough and seem like growers. Kind of hoping for a few heavier moments on the album though.

 

They sound better than they ever have before, undoubtedly.

 

Half way through and this is decent, best song is the opening track so far. This dude's lyrics have regressed for sure.

 

I’m very much liking this right now. Loved their first record - the last 2 were fine but not really for me at the time. Strong Lydia/ Jimmy Eat World vibes on this one and I’m into it.

 

Made it most of the way through a first listen and it has me interested enough to come back to it. Better than anything since their first record.

 

Sounds like their first record, more somber

 

Never have cared to listen to a record by this band but just checked this out and really enjoyed it. Definitely really pretty melodies here, Jimmy vibes for sure
