skipping the leak since it's up tomorrow, but I'm listening to Too Much for the first time now and this song make me smile

 

in addition to the pre-release song, i can already tell i'm gonna be looping Want You In My Room, Automatically in Love and Feels Right a loooot for the next while

This is good. Definitely went with some weird stuff, but overall I love it. Right Words through For Sure are my favorite so far.

 

Still just really don’t like “Party For One”.

 

This is really good. Not as good as Emotion (a nearly impossible standard, let's be honest), but this is definitely an AOTY contender

All jokes aside, I'd be okay if this just opened with "Run Away with Me" again.

 

It's more laidback and understated than I expected but I'm glad she took this direction. Another album of full blown sugary pop would've been safe I guess.

I need the most pastiche-y 80's video for Want You In My Room. Other favorites are Julien, Everything He Needs (early Passion Pit vibes in the best way) and I'll Be Your Girl. The one two punch of Real Love and For Sure as well.

 

Okay now I'm obsessed with Feels Right.

this album is less instant than emotion but like... every song is brilliant anyway

 

i think it really sends home what a good songwriter she is. i'm glad she's a voice in pop

 

I've been worried about a time where she doesn't start her shows with Run Away With Me, the perfect set opener but also the perfect encore, she can do it twice

 

RATM should get moved to encore if it gets moved anywheres

 

I think it's probably my second favorite album opener of the decade, and my first favorite album opener of the decade is also just my favorite song of the decade, period.
