Going to this specifically to see crowd's reaction to when Nekrogoblikon play The Magic Spider

 

You would think it's common knowledge that booking The Faceless at this point is just a bad idea.

 

Could they seriously only afford to book 6 bands this year, or are they just not finished announcing the lineup?

 

They have to be announcing more. For one it says more TBA at the bottom (I doubt it's just local support) and I can't imagine Cattle being the headliner (plus the position on the poster would have them higher if they were).

 

Probably something like TBDM as the headliner, ATB as direct support, and maybe one other small band or vote for the opener kind of thing.

 

Jesus, I had no idea I Prevail were this big

 

Yeah they are blowing up again... didn't think they would with the new album, but honestly they are A Day To Remembee sized or very close...

 

I thought that new album was gonna be a flop but it was actually pretty good and it did pretty well

 

Wasn’t that I Prevail show at Red Rocks a fest though or nah? I remember seeing Eric post Animals As Leaders playing and I know AAL wouldn’t be playing with them otherwise, haha.
(Also, kinda hate the fact I like I Prevail now, but oh well)

 

It was an I Prevail headliner, AAL were just an additional opener.

 

Oh wow, that IS crazy. They’re bigger than I thought too.

 

Summer Slaughter said on Facebook it’s going to be the first triple co-headliner

 

Honestly, Summer Slaughter is not my thing at all, but I would LOVE to see Cattle Decapitation and Nekrogoblikon together.

 

They must have honestly lost a ton of money on the the BTBAM headlined one. However, the idea of hearing Cattle and Carnifex headlining sets sounds great. The Faceless on the other hand... eh?

Edit: Also only one Sumerian band so far.

 

Got an e-mail notification from Bandsintown that I See Stars was going to be playing Dec.1 at Union Transfer. The lineup was both ISS/OLN, so I’m assuming that means ISS is potentially one of the support artists for the tour?

 

I See Stars is on the tour. Local promoter posted the full lineup yesterday but I didn’t think anything of it cause I didn’t know it was a leak.

2 other bands, not even a chance I can remember who they are

 

A 8/4 date for Summer Slaughter in Baltimore at Soundstage popped up with the rumored lineup posted above - Cattle Decapitation/Carnifex/The Faceless/Rivers of Nihil/Nekrogoblikon.

This is a pretty mediocre lineup IMO.

 

It’s fine for what it is, but it’s def a steep drop off from all the previous years

 

Opinions, opinions, etc. The only bands on this lineup I like are Cattle Decapitation and Rivers of Nihil so I'm gonna be a bit biased

If they're downsizing the tour to play 400-700 cap rooms, then great. But there's not a headliner on the level of past bands like Cannibal Corpse or BTBAM and if they're still expecting to fill the same size rooms with this lineup, then lol.

 

I agree. Only one I would want to see is Cattle.

 

I would have been all about a OLN/ISS in 2012
