I really hope they close the main set on the tour with “Jerusalem, New York, Berlin.” Quickly becoming my favorite on the album and it’s a perfect closer.

 

Never been a huge Vampire Weekend fan but this album is really good.

 

really curious to see the setlist for the tour. Judging by the time my show starts it looks like there is a good chance they play for 2+ hours

 

I’m hoping they change the set entirely every night.

 

If they do I may consider doing two nights. Two different sets at my favorite venue in the world would be quite a treat.

Well deserved!

 

Glad it went number 1 / did numbers, but looking at the numbers makes me think that without bundling the album with tickets this would have been a pretty weak first week for them.

 

Ever since they dropped the single, I just can't get that one part of Unbearably White out of my head. It goes something like...

Apparently the Japanese edition has 3 bonus tracks. "Houston Dubai," "I Don't Think About Her No More," and "Lord Ullin's Daughter." Japanese edition has a release date of May 15.

Here's a weird stat. Vampire Weekend are now the only band with three #1 albums on the Billboard 200 but zero entries into the Hot 100.

 

That is kinda wild. Looked it up and it appears “Unbelievers” is their highest charting song on the Alternative Songs chart which isn’t a major shock but did surprise me a bit. I would have guessed it’d be “Diane Young”

 

I just realized all of their albums start really abruptly with Ezra singing

 

I gotta admit that it surprises me that Harmony Hall didn't take off

I think Unbelievers is their most straight forward single. Makes sense. Harmony Hall is a little long and could see why it wouldn’t land like Unbelievers.

I do think This Life or How Long? have a shot.

 

This is the first VW album I’ve ever liked but I LOVE IT. Went back and listened to first 3 and I really don’t get it.

 

Some info on one of the Japanese bonus tracks, "Lord Ullin's Daughter," which is apparently a "radical reconfiguration of 'Big Blue'."

This is out in Japan now so hopefully these tracks pop up soon.

After spending a week with this the only song I skip at this point is Rich Man, I hate it.
