Is this the last year of the festival considering how poorly it is selling?

 

They should give refunds to people who paid the original price for tickets or even the lowered price.

 

Still sticking with a big ole pending lawsuit limiting their willingness to have a legit music festival in Chicago this year. As we've seen, they've gone the full on cheap route at their other festivals as well, leading to disasters. I figured they'd either a) cancel this or b) have to offer crap tons of free tickets so it looks like the latter.

I got a field ticket from the free ticket offer but I am not sure I am going to go because there is no public transportation to the stadium and I don't know if I want to pay $15 or more there and back.

This festival 100% will no longer exist after this weekend. I almost wonder if any of the bands will comment on the low attendance when they look out.

 

It doesn’t need to exist. I know it’s unique as the only metal festival in Chicago, however, this city is already filled with music festivals (big and small), so casual music listeners who would go just to go are doing that at smaller street festivals instead, or at bigger ones like Pitchfork or Riot which offer you more bang for your buck (even if you get free tickets to this).

 

It's too bad, the first year of this festival was pretty great, but then it quickly went downhill...

 

Outside of the first year this has gone down hill since then and this is only year 3

No idea how this is going to go as a fest but I am so unbelievably excited to see System again, especially after getting free field tickets.

 

Festival is on hold due to the weather (raining/storms), although they hadn’t even started yet. Considering all that hasn’t gone well for this festival, this sure does not help.

 

According to weather.com its supposed to storm on and off till 7-730 tonight for the whole Chicagoland area
