As far as I know there are only 2 farms in the country that are allowed to make it and thus it is very expensive. J. Kenji did an article on the ethics of it and it helped sway my personal views on it. I still understand how many people are very against it though.

I'm so glad I got over downloading leaks. Spotify makes life so much easier. I've also gotten a lot better about buying albums because of it. Its weird how it works.

 

Also on the Ari/Midsommar hype train. Also psyched for Eggers’ The Lighthouse. Horror has been in a really good spot recently.

I can’t wait for The Lighthouse either, I’m a sucker for black and white film. I do love how the independent horror scene has exploded this decade, there’s been so much good and creative stuff coming out since the costs of filming has gone down with digital cameras and what not. Mainstream horror is getting there too but the studios need to take more chances and put out more stuff like Jordan Peele’s movies.
