I can't believe what Messi and Bravo's relationship is like going forward at Barcelona. I mean you could make the case last year being in Chile and it being their first trophy ever but goddamn this stings like nothing else.
Sitting there Argentina look like they're at a funeral about to break out in tears at any moment.

 

Bravo went to Messi as soon as he could. I'm sure they'll be fine.

 

Soccer cup finals are always so brutal for the losing team. I'd hate to have to wait around during the trophy ceremonies.

 

Messi is a grown man and a professional, but I imagine there still has to be something left over from this final at the start of the season.

Dani Alves beat the entire Spain squad in a 2013 tournament with Brazil and they were all just fine. I don't think Messi will hold anything against Claudio. He'll put it all on himself.

 

Especially how all of the Chilean players are further paraded around with the supplementary awards and the losing side is sandwiched between them. Ugh.

 

Yeah, that's probably right. I'm just being emotional, putting myself in his shoes I would do the same.

Goddamit Argentina...it's like they're confused into thinking those silver medals are platinum :(

Eh to be fair Argentina have won plenty of trophies before, where as the Bills haven't. They're more like the Liverpool of international football.

Nah man why? He's Argentinian and he feels Argentinian. It wouldn't have been the same for him to win things with Spain. Doesn't make him any less of an amazing player and legend (in my eyes)

What exactly has been going on within the Argentina national team? I know Messi has spoken out about his displeasures but it appears to be a bigger issue than we thought.

Wow, they might be seriously depressed after that final. I can't blame them at all. While it seems they are also frustrated with AFA among other things, it seems like this could be a perfect storm for such a sad thing.

 

I'm just glad Chile won so we don't have the "Are Chile or Argentina the defending champions" routine. That said, I really wanna see Messi lift the world cup so I hope he comes back.

 

The Argentina government are probably going to try to invade the Falkland Islands to distract everyone from this now.
