I’m still happy Deluxe wasn’t just a song or two and an acoustic rendition. They went for it.

 

Matt's verse on The Only Thing That Matters is so freaking good. It's such a fun song.

 

My favorite off California and it’s not even close.

closest we've got to an Alkaline Trio-style verse so far, for sure. down to the Manson reference lol

I think the second half of deluxe is the best ”quarter” of the whole release and just find deluxe in general to be more consistent with less filler.

 

I feel like the only 2 songs I ever revisit on the deluxe are Misery and 6/8.

This is my Deluxe playlist that I go with. It used to be shorter but I dropped Don't Mean Anything cause it didn't hold up for me over time, and added Satellites through Wildfire.

It looks long but it's not longer than my workouts so I'm good with it haha.

I just listen to whichever album I feel like giving a spin I am boring.

 

I literally just have Cali sorted as the basic album in my phone, and have all the deluxe tracks sorted as another album in my phone.

 

Same, I literally never listen to playlists

There's only 2 albums I've ever made dedicated playlists for: this and Screaming Bloody Murder by Sum 41. And I do occasionally listen to just the regular or the deluxe Cali albums.

 

Can anything save that one?

 

Haha I know you don't care for it at all. It's still kinda below everything else of theirs with Underclass for me. Time For You To Go and Baby You Don't Wanna Know are easily my two least favorite Sum songs so cutting those helps anyways. They sound like they should be a Deryck side project.

 

I need to find out from someone in the band if the riff in the verses of BIOMY is a synth or guitar with effects or both. The more i listen to it, the more it sounds like that effect Skiba puts on his guitar when he plays clean notes and I'm losing my mind trying to figure it out.

I think I need a break from the song lol.
