Little bad ass Mormont chick was awesome again.

Wonder if this Sansa vs Jon brews into something next season. She can't be happy he's taking all this credit. That glance with Little Finger was telling I think.

Sansa just knows what Littlefinger wants. I think she was more worried than jealous of Jon.

Wow that was excellent. The way it was directed as well with the music and landscape shots took it to another level entirely. This was like last season's finale in terms of plot movement except it didn't feel comepletely rushed. I can't think of a single weak scene.

What are you on about, she was encouraging him to lead the north.

    yeah good okay Prestigious

A Targaryen in the North, a Targaryen sailing from the East, and a Mad Queen on the throne. Good times to be had next season.

So far, Jon has been compared to Robb, Stannis, and Mance and so far, he has been put in situations that are exactly the same as his counterparts but with one different detail - he doesn't fall for the same things that were their eventual downfall. Jon is now on Robb's plot, which is interesting because Sansa has taken on Catelyn's role but is encouraging where her mother was hesitant, so that leaves me wondering what happens when Jon's "Talisa" (Dany, presumably) comes into play.

Lyanna Mormont is one of the most badass characters on the show, period.

Btw, the talk of the Red Woman's powers had me thinking, in the books Balon Greyjoy dies a lot earlier, more along the time frame of Robb/Joffery and those were the three names she gave to the fire after her encounter with Gendry, right?

Saw someone reference "Hurt" in regards to Cersei's character and new reign.

Feels so perfectly fitting for that character.

    My thoughts :

I really didn't expect Margery to go out like that. At least the Queen of Thorns is still around. (And the next scene after I wrote this was her meeting the Martells....and Olenna schooling the Sand Snakes. I had a feeling that would happen)

As soon as they stayed on that shot of the window, I know Tommen was jumping out of it. Still pretty shocking.

Sending Mel South doesn't make sense unless she has some further purpose, hopefully its hooking up with the BwB.

The fact that Arya made a Frey Pie confirms Manderly isnt important. I honestly thought Walder's death was a little underwhelming.

    Littlefinger truly is ASoIaF's antagonist.

Lyanna Mormont is so badass. A ten year old brought together the lords of the North. I really would have loved if Jon was like..."Ehhh..I don't really want to be King though..."

That may have been the best outfit Cersei has worn on the show. But now it seems like Jamie wants to kill her...and probably will.

If Littlefinger is the true antagonist, does that make Varys the true protagonist?

If anything, Sansa most likely just wants out of the game, so I don't see her resenting Jon taking power. Nothing good has happened to her in the past X years, so why would she want to continue?

I wouldn't call Littlefinger the antagonist; his motivations aren't much different from most of the characters, he's just much smarter.

He and Varys are kind of polar opposites though, at least in regards to Littlefinger only serving himself while everything Varys has done has been out of loyalty to the Targaryens (and Tyrion)

I didn't get a sense that Sansa was upset by the lords swearing allegiance to Jon. There is a tension there, but I don't think it is derived from jealousy so much as two people grasping to be who they are in the world. I do think Littlefinger will be an antagonist in Jon and Sansa's story, stirring up trouble and aiming to drive them apart. More than anything, I'm looking forward to Jon and Danaerys meeting one another. I am not sure if it was purposeful that the latter spoke of marriage and Jon was proclaimed king of the north. I can't see them putting half brother and sister together, though.

It'd be in line with the Targaryen family tree of inbreeding.

He's not her brother either, he would be her nephew. Cousins marry and it isn't frowned upon there, I imagine aunt/nephew isn't looked down on either

Yeah half brother and half sister are too distant of a relationship for Targaryens

I've seen a few people mention it but the score was fucking perfect. This was hands down the best episode of the series.
