Yeah the decision to shorten the last two seasons definitely deserves some heavy criticism. Granted, some of the criticism has been extra stupid because of that.

 

yeah so many people spent years watching this show, investing hours of watching seasons, reading fan theories online, exchanging ideas with their friends and on the internet, becoming invested in character's development and story arcs, and waiting to see satisfying conclusions and to get to the end of the series are fucking begging to be let down.

Reading fan theories is the worst thing anyone can do in regards to entertainment tbh

Honestly thought for a moment that The Mountain was gonna kill Cersei. Thought she would keep ordering him go follow orders and ignore The Hound and he’d get pissed and behead her or Qyburn her. That would have been something.

I think it can be fun to check out fan theories, but people take them too seriously. Like fans get pissed when wrong and somehow still pissed when right.

 

Wait, I thought theories about what might happen were the only posts no one ever got mad about here.

 

the point is people care(d) about this show and spent their personal time becoming invested in the story, the characters, and to see how it all ends so to say anyone WANTS to be let down is fucking absurd but focus on that one example sure

 

I’d never get mad for someone talking about fan theories but I think it’s bad, personally. Just my opinion.

 

the ones that get too invested I think are. If you're at the point where you're reading lots of fan theories online, I feel like you're asking to get let down to a certain extent because you're getting caught up in all the ways the story could go and then when it doesn't go that way, its a let down to think of what 'could have been'.

 

Whatever else I can say about this season, at least they didn’t go that route

I think we can all agree though that whatever the next cultural phenomenon is that takes over our televisions we stand together and petition that it cannot be aired on Sunday nights so we’re not all half dead at work tomorrow.

 

I can’t fathom this. Like yeah I definitely understand if someone is completely over the top wedded to a theory it’s not a good look, but isn’t that like half the fun of a show like this?

 

I like what this episode and the ending is going for but don't feel like it's earned. Is that an okay statement?
