I mean for the show at least they could say he has more experience since his ass was off flying around and doing whatever.

I don’t think so...I think she was sitting there mulling over in her head what she wanted to do, and she clearly wanted to go the fear route, and thought she was gonna get the chance to, then the bells rang...and she said nah fuck that shit.

 

Yeah Dany going mad queen is gonna be written much deeper for obvious reasons in the books

The mad queen stuff still wasn't earned. I mean you if you feel it was great, but her burning everyone and her own army was so rushed for a conclusion they didn't earn to me, it really felt disappointing.
It could be a logical conclusion to this whole story but the build up wasn't there in the show.

 

Yeah the bells did not “drive her insane”, she snapped in that moment and decided she didn’t want to show mercy. Fear is all she has.

Yeah it made sense to me last ep when it became clear how isolated Dany was at this point -- which they make explicit in this ep -- but there's barely been anything before that point to suggest that she herself was growing mentally unstable.
