    ?+L=J apparently [IMG]

Can't believe they didn't fully reveal that. I'm sure a lot of casual fans now think it was incest between Ned and Lyanna.

I feel like casual fans are smarter than you're giving them credit for.

Worst case scenario, people still think Rhargar raped Lyanna. But still, I'm trying to imagine that reveal if I'm a casual Thrones fan who doesn't read shit on the internet.

Thing is, the hints for that have been SO subtle. Talking about the Taergaryens in the crypt. I dont even think Robert gave more than a passing word to who killed/kidnapped Lyanna. I've watch the whole thing like 3 times through, and without side articles, I'd be confused as hell on who it is.

Had they cut to Dany after that moment, instead of Jon, that might have made it obvious

I'm not saying casual fans necessarily can put together all the pieces. I'm saying they can put together enough to know Ned isn't the father.

I can see a lot of people thinking he's Robert's kid too considering the show has talked about Robert and Lyanna being a thing. This would still make him the rightful king if true.

Can Miguel Sapochnik direct every episode please? He impressed here without a giant battle. Really enjoyed this even though the story felt like fan fiction.

That was one of the best episodes of the show. Miguel Sapochnik needs to direct every episode.

  9. Understand R+L=J and that Rob was in love with Lyanna, but why did Lyanna want to hide what happened from Rob?

The child would have a claim to the throne and thus would need to be killed.

Love that Jamie is witnessing Cersei becoming the Mad King. Very interested to see how Jon and Sansa play out, the show very clearly has been about the rise of women to power, while men have mostly been losing it. Jon becoming King in the North doesn't fit with that, I look forward to seeing that play out.

I don't know why they couldn't have just ended the episode with a "Who's the father?"

    ...

    "Targaryen"

  17. That was my first assumption, I just thought Rob wouldn't have the heart so that was not an option and there was something else behind it.

And depending on the timeline, Robert has already had the other Taergaryen children in Kings Landing killed, or is about to. And as we saw in Season 1, Ned's not about killing babies (especially his sister's).

I really thought the secret in King's Landing was gonna be they found Gendry, and Cersei would subert the crown that way. Didnt expect the wildfire.

Lyanna (his betrothed) is dead so that son is a bastard even if Robert claims him as his own son.

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

That episode was unreal. It's great to see all these story lines finally taking shape.

Was so great to see Arya get revenge of The Freys.

Seeing Tommen just throw himself out of the window like that was disturbing.

Jaime isn't happy with Cersei. I guess we know now why she sent him away to begin with.

Danaerys' army is looking stronger than ever.

I hated that Little Finger had to plant that idea of Sansa being the true heir of the North instead of Jon. It was cool to see all those houses rally behind Jon after Lady Mormont put them all in their place. Hopefully Sansa is cool with her brother ruling. If not, maybe Bran can get the news spread before Baelish has time to cook something up.

What could The Mother of Thorns and Dorne have planned?

So is team Dorne/Tyrell working with team Dany/Greyjoy? That was somewhat implied but never made explicitly clear.

Well, with Varys there, Im assuming they are gonna back Daenarys when she attacks Kings Landing. Which, thank god that Dorne plot seems to have a point. Amazing that it showed up in Ep1 and disappeared til Ep10

Thats the assumption. That or Varys is playing a way deeper game than anyone else.

How was that not clear? Varys was introduced as Dorne's ally and Olena said she'd do anything she can to get revenge AND Dany's fleet had Dornish and Tyrell ships.

did it? I must have missed those. Or maybe I don't know my sigils well enough so I saw a couple that werent Dany's and assumed they were greyjoy.
