all true, but not as pithy or imaginative as "fuck everything around me" is

I will say the ubiquity of the problem is compounded by how ATL chooses to specifically cripple their lower income residents (transport mainly, but hardly the only way) and that the city is growing in such a way that it exacerbates those issues. the stratification will be constantly on yr mind when you live there too bc of how not hidden it is.

I don't disagree w anything yr saying but I think it just illustrates why it sucks generically and not why it doesn't suck
You can stay with Randall and I!

All I'll say is you didn't say anything that I haven't already experienced in every other city I've lived in. The confederate flags being an exception because why the fuck would Colorado have those.
Move in with Randall and I when you graduate!

    .
my personal gripes w Atlanta are mostly just that, outside of the social stuff. things that irritate me when I'm there but not enough to never go.

maybe! depends on $$$ haven't ever worked a job that pays me enough to live there and I'd really love to never have to wait tables again lol

Oh, stratification is on my mind already bubba lol. I’m moving to Atlanta mostly to get certified in database programming. I’m already sick of not being able to have nice things because I wait tables. I tried working odd jobs so I could focus my ambition on music and it turned into me never having any money to legitimately record or promote anything.

And I think living near DC adjusted my perspective to be more cynical because you DEFINITELY can’t live or even afford to drink / drive and park in that city if you’re poor.

What helped me get back to wanting to live in major cities is, coming to north Florida and seeing that in “cheap” places with low salaries, people have no ambitions and are complacent with the status quo instead of striving for positive change. So you really pick your poison haha. No one in Jax FL is fucking going anywhere with their lives.

Okay this section is totally true.

Hahaha I feel this. Personally I’m pretty good at being charismatic and doing damage control when the food comes out bad or takes too long. So I’d rather deal with the stress of being a server, because it’s way better than the stress of trying to plan fun weekends and pay your bills on $12 an hour or less (most working class jobs.) At least you get paid like $25-$30 an hour in tips when the job gets really hectic and stressful - it’s not consistent but overall you still easily make more money vs how much time you commit to work.

I'm just saying that chances are ill be able to get pretty cheap/free tickets and will probably end up seeing them in theaters. Not like I'm going to be paying full price or waiting out front for opening night
