Aaaaagh yes definitely! That’s a definite underrated gem.

 

It’s literally what that book was written to be, IMO. Even having the same set up as BoB where they’re “interviewing” the characters would work perfectly.

It’s a great book i highly recommend it, even if you’re not a zombie fan the geopolitics of it are cool, if a little dated now. Lots of obvious references to the Iraq war and other things of the time.

 

Until the two part movie was announced I had been yelling at the sky for years for HBO to do a miniseries for It. Honestly I still want one even though this adaptation has been great.

 

To throw my two cents into what I wish HBO would do... I really, really, really want them to adapt Carlos Ruiz Zafon's Cemetery of Forgotten Books quartet into four miniseries. It would be extraordinary.

 

I am loving the movies we are getting right now so far as well, but IT is another one that I think definitely has enough story and lent itself really well to miniseries format. Or whatever you call what a season of like True Detective is.

 

I have never heard of these but that is an evocative and intriguing name for sure.

 

A more straight anthology version of what Castle Rock is doing where each season is a King book is my DREAM.

 

This would be insanely awesome, and I also feel like it would be really popular. The audience is definitely there.

Pitch that shit to them! Or Netflix!

You can be the next Pizzolatto or Duffer Brothers.

I wasn't a fan of the movie TBH....I mean I was, it's definitely an entertaining movie, but I def got very book snob "The book is better than the movie" about it haha.

Now that the 2nd movie has fallen into development hell, I'm hoping Brad Pitt just sells the rights and HBO buys them.

Oh I haven’t seen that movie, I meant Stephen King’s It! I’ve heard the sentiment about wanting a miniseries for WWZ a lot though.

 

Lmao omg I def misread your post. It is definitely a perfect set up for a proper adaptation via HBO too

 

As someone who just did a walking tour for those books in Barcelona, you know my next statement: *clears throat* READ SHADOW OF THE WIND! But honestly, they're all great mysteries/love letters to literature set in post-Civil War/WW2 era Barcelona. HBO would nail the setting perfectly.

 

Hopefully the Watchmen is good. The trailer looked interesting and very different than the movie.
