I think the 16 INTs as a number by itself is overblown. He lead the league in INTs but 16 is a low number to lead the league. His INT rate was below his career average. The problem is the timing of the interceptions. I'd be curious to see how many of those he was pressured on and how many were just poor decisions. Like the one against the Broncos was inexcusable.

 

Ben threw more passes than anyone else in the league and by quite a margin. Still ended up with above average efficiency stats all the while dealing with going from Bell to Connor (albeit it was "easier" than expected) and handling Brown being a complete moron.

 

It was really hard to be upset about the Saints in the playoffs because of that call lmao

 

There is no reason why Ben should be throwing that much. They better get back to a more reasonable ratio this year. Focus on ball control. Conner, Samuels, and Snell can get the job done. Just worried about the second TE in 2 TE sets because Grimble is a turd. But I guess they'd bring in another Olineman for those kind of heavy sets.

I assume this is why Snell was brought in and the team was talking about splitting the load among RBs. Connor only had 270 touches last year compared to the normal ~400 for Bell, so they clearly are imagining a lot more running plays and/or screen type passes to involve more RB touches. If they are replicating last year, then Conner/Samuels is actually fine with vet depth. If they're running 400+ times and doing another 100 RB passes, then you need some help.

 

Connor/Samuels/Snell could be really fun.
