This song is just okay. Much like California was. It's crazy how much this band misses Jerry Finn working his magic.

 

People were going to hate on this song no matter what.

 

Good ! Life was better without social media tbh.

 

Pop-punk hasn't been the same since Jerry, RIP.

Did Travis always get lyric credits? Do we know what he has contributed in the past?

 

Not sure about lyrics specifically but he wasn't credited as a songwriter on Enema (which is BS but I can understand he was new) and had to have the convo with Mark & Tom before recording TOYPAJ.

 

No, it hasn't. It's unbelievable how many amazing albums he had a hand in.

 

Pretty underwhelmed by this, unfortunately. It'll probably grow on me.

Also I guess I didn't follow the social media trend on California, I didn't know people disliked it so much. I like that record a ton.

 

Random thought, ‘Parking Lot’ is probably one of my favorite Blink-182 songs.

The energy in that song is what I was hoping to hear more of on CA. Glad we got that song.

 

Yeah, I took my time with this song, the synths sound bad & the melodies are even more nursery rhyme than Enema, and it's not growing on me as I had hoped.

 

How the hell are they gonna pull this off live? So much going on here!

I always wished they added a second guitarist to stand in the back, like Green Day started around American Idiot.

 

Travis slamming the drums, synths will be a playback track, Skiba will play the muted/lead guitar parts, and will be mark on bass.

Someone played along to this song with guitar on YouTube already and it actually worked really well. Made the song be more guitar driven. I can see Blink doing that live.

 

Day 1: everyone needs a take and negative takes get more attention.

The cycle usually starts with “this sucks” ... it’ll swing as summer picks up I bet.

 

Only complaint is I wish the chorus was beefed up a bit

Song's really good! I've listened to it three times in a row and this hasn't been my "thing" for a while.

 

So, after this song I am hoping for some dark/depressing synth pop punk on the album. Also, some bangin guitars. Like in the clip Feldy accidentally leaked that had mark and Matt singing while claiming it was his solo project. Would be great from them at this point.

 

Wish I liked the song more than I do on first listen.

 

I kinda feel like this song nails what This Is Home wanted to be
