Love this show

 

Idek how to cope when I get to the end of a show. It's so bittersweet. I always feel torn between immediately wanting to rewatch because I love it so much and wanna see it unfold again, feeling sentimental that I learned something or appreciated the message/content or feeling like the show has become part of my life, and then feeling legit sad like saying goodbye to a friend. Like it almost feels like actual loss of friendship to me?? Idk it's weird?? Maybe this will be the topic of this week's therapy sesh lol. Sitcoms probably make me feel better than anything. Sitcoms and Britney Spears. I know it must be common cause fandom is huge, but I'm not rly into a fandom so I just have these little shows that fill up my heart and shape me as a person and keep it to myself cause I have no irl Abed to discuss with.

 

I love watching shows from beginning to end.

I don't really understand when people don't finish a show kind of. Like I understand if they couldn't like because time/work stuff but when they choose not to finish it. I'm behind on crazy ex girlfriend and really want to finish that one soon. I also love rewatching my favorites every few years. I'm gonna try to re-watch broad city with my wife soon because I think she'll really like it but she doesn't have much time.

 

I give up on shows sometimes but it usually takes like multiple seasons of disinterest for me to get there. Once my amused hate watching turns into just pathetic bitter hate watching I know it's time to chill lol

 

Oh man, then you're gonna hate me. I almost never finish a show. I'm bad at it, even if I loved what I had seen. I have to be in a mood to watch something and my depression can make that difficult. So I'll consume what there is to a point, if it's a weekly show, and then fall behind and like never return. It's super fun!

I can probably count the shows I've finished completely on two hands. It's bad and drives me nuts.

 

Normally I finish shows but I’m extremely close to giving up on riverdale. I get no enjoyment from any of the current plot lines

 

Giving up on a show that you hate or stop relating to or isn't good is understandable it's when people like a show and intentionally quit it that I don't get.
Like I watched too many seasons of Sheldon and the bazingas mostly in the background, I didn't really watch them though they'd just be on in the background but still I finally gave that one up after a while. The only other shows that I haven't finished are the Americans 1 need to watch final season, crazy ex girlfriend I think I'm a season and a half behind, and a few of the DC cw shoes that I watched most of until I got too busy and they were kind of boring.

Yeah i get that, I got behind on shows that I really liked when I got super busy with work and my wife was super busy going back to school. Honestly finishing tv shows gives me a little sense of accomplishment haha. I also watch too much TV even when I had a job.

 

I totally understand the accomplished feeling. I'm close on a few shows or a season of the show anyway and proud I got my dumbass that far. Only recent show I'll be able to say I finished is Game of Thrones in a couple weeks. The threat of accidentally getting spoiled keeps me from ever falling behind on it haha.

Oh, I want to watch TV when depressed--my issue is I just can't actually decide on anything. I'll just sit there and swear and then like turn on Twitch or something I've watched a million times.

I tend to start new series and then just keep doing that and never finishing. Did watch first episode of Chernobyl last night and would have watched it all in one sitting had it been available. Then I just went on Netflix to find something that would sort of satiate that desire. Ended up on Residue, which is all of three episodes so I'll finish that tomorrow night--probably...

 

This HBO Chernobyl miniseries is hardcore

 

I tend to watch the same shows over and over. I could watch friends or Frasier or schitts Creek all day every day and be content.

In terms of shows I haven't finished ... Grey's anatomy, supernatural, walking dead, Glee...

I think ER is genuinely the only show I love and haven't finished. I started it when I quit my job and was depressed and I'd literally watch like 12 episodes in a row and I had to stop because I started associating it with depression and wasting my day. I do hope to pick it back up again soon tho cause I've never even finished it and feel content saying it's one of the greatest shows of all time

 

I used to like starting new shows that had a ton of seasons that I didnt get to watch when they were airing like ER or the xfiles or 24. Dvds and torrents and now streaming has made it so much easier to watch all of that shit anywhere anytime since we have tiny high quality Tvs with us all the time. But now thinking about starting a new show like GOT or something like that is just too daunting for me now. Especially since I have to pay attention since I've never seen it before.

 

Top 3 medical show to me. Really liked it when I binged it 7 years ago.

It holds up astoundingly well. It's actually sad how many issues they tackle in episodes from decades ago that could still air and be relevant today. It was rly eye opening cause I tended to be like "well it was a product of it's time" if 90s and 00s shows had some sexist or racist junk that didn't hold up, but after I saw how wonderfully ER tackled those issues in the 90s I was like dang other shows have no excuse!! I also hadn't realized how many storylines Grey's anatomy had borrowed from them. Such a brilliant show.

 

I want to rewatch it but is the quality of it good? It looked really bad on my TV last time I tried like 2 years ago.

I don't think I'll ever watch grey's anatomy, I think I saw one random episode one day that was just way too cheesy and soap opera-y to me.

Just remembered that I never finished scandal or how to get away with murder either.
