  1. Saw good charlotte play all the hits and had a blast. Do gc fans bitch as much as us?

Growing up in a rural town, I've probably heard that song upwards of 1,000 times. Every wedding, guaranteed. haha.

Yeah exactly. I love this band, i love all the albums (well, maybe not buddha). When i have a shitty day they’re the band that pull my out of my own head and make feel better. They’ve been that band and will remain that band. I’ve had a lot of good times listening to the band, had to deal with the death of a parent with the music being a guiding light and making me feel i would be OK. Blink has been with me for so long now, they could stand on stage and just scream insults atme for 90 minutes long and i would just feel as euphoric as i did during the show in 2017 during Rock Show.

It's hard for me to listen to blink singles after years and years of overplaying them, but it's still SO much fun singing them in a live setting. When I saw them last, I was the only one within my visible range singing along to "San Diego"...which was awesome because that was my favorite from California. But that was nothing compared to singing along with hundreds of people around me for every hit they played. That's what we're all there for.

    Back to the grandpa discussion:

I see literally any show on a weekday and I get pissed. Also when I see “headlining band goes on at 10 pm” I literally have a moment where I consider not going if it’s a Tuesday night lol.

I go for seats instead of having to stand in the pit

If it’s a weekday I request off the next day to recoup

If it’s out of town I get a hotel instead of driving back

    Peak grandpa

As a GC fan, I like hearing a majority of the hits. When they play some deep cuts, it's a nice little bonus.

  12. (Some of the die-hard) Blink fans complained about what he did on California, Good Charlotte fans, from what I saw, recognized he saved their career with Youth Authority and those are some of the better songs in their catalog.

Gotcha. Thanks. That's interesting because it seems the band doesn't like that album very much. I think it was a pretty good album overall coming off their hiatus. Generation Rx was much better though.

I don’t love Feldman’s production, but I’m starting to agree with Jason that whether or not people want to admit it, their problem is not so much the production but this iteration of Blink 182.

Kind of a hot take, but Life Changes might actually be my favorite GC song. Also what did you think of the bonus track "Rise"? I wish it would have been included on the record.

Life Changes is a top tier GC song for me also, and I think YA is a better record than Generation Rx.

It’s interesting how different crowds can be because most times I see blink the crowd doesn’t even know songs like violence but when I saw them at the untitled show they were screaming the lyrics to apple shampoo and natives

I've always loved "Mountain" off Chronicles of Life and Death. My Bloody Valentine could be considered another.

I don't think there's anything wrong with playing the hits, imagine if at the Jimmy Eat World/Third Eye Blind ampitheater tour they didn't play Semi Charmed Life and The Middle that would be insane

Genuinely love this iteration of the band and expect a lot of them. Probably unfair expectations honestly. But I hate Fedly’s production. I will defend myself though, I think it’s just Feldy. I’ve only ever liked one record he did and that was Decomposer. Other than that, I hate most of the records he produced.
