It's weird to describe it this way, but I enjoyed Breaking Bad more than The Wire even though The Wire is a higher quality show.

I haven't watched The Americans yet but I do remember friends of mine that were watching at the time saying there were 2 seasons or so in the early run that were pretty "meh", but heard once it hit a certain season that it's strong as hell

 

This explains a lot.

 

Rectify was a perfect 4 seasons

lol I was just kidding, I've actually never seen The Wire, it's like my biggest pop-culture blind spot. Actually I've never seen The Sopranos either so either of those I guess.

With you on The Sopranos. Have not seen it. Going through Mad Men now but I'm forcing myself to only watch it on the treadmill in order to get me on the treadmill.

Guess I'll have to check out The Americans also.

 

You need to start watching one of these as soon as thrones ends or sooner than that.

 

My wife is pregnant and we’re both teachers and there are a LOT of shows we haven’t seen (including BB) so I think we’re planning on doing a lot of binging this summer

 

haha I need to watch The Wire first and foremost. I've kind of never really had any interest in seeing The Sopranos, to be honest. Don't know if I ever will.

It is hard to watch TV when you have a kid. I watch like 20 hours of sesame street a week.

 

Find interest. Trust me. I didn't watch it until a couple years ago because I felt as you do. I was wrong.

 

At the gym listening to the most recent episode of The Watch podcast about Sunday’s episode and both their criticisms and compliments of episode 4 pretty succinctly sum up my thoughts on the entire final season thus far.

 

Not always a bad thing, imo:

 

I’m just joking about how you’ve been into a lot of things here that I’ve disliked, but now I know so much more about what shows you haven’t seen and that makes a lot more sense. Lol.

 

Oh damn. Gotta find that episode.

Justified is so good. The end is one of my fav endings of any show.
