I'm pumped for Warped Tour but honestly if they announce an NYC date of this tour soon I may just cancel my Warped hotel and sell my tickets and go VIP for this.

 

I honestly don't know why their 1st single wouldn't be close to the sound of California. That record was huge for them so it would be silly if the first single would be something similar to 6/8 or Bottom Of The Ocean for example. They're going to want to maintain that pop sound to let the casual fans and radio stations know hey this is blink-182 and they have a new song. Similar to how The Rock Show was the first single on TOYPAJ and Feeling This was the first single to Untitled.

 

Yeah, I’d be willing to bet the single is the one closest to California in sound and the others kinda diverge

I know we were talking about how ridiculous we are nitpicking at stuff like guitar tones.......but seriously the guitar distortion during the second verse of that WMAA/A Milli mashup is perfect.

 

I just hope its a song I can run to, rock to, and party to. I'm ready for it.

 

No, I get it, it's all about it business and it makes sense. I was hoping for something different I guess. But I still think the whole album may present something different, I hope.

 

I have a feeling tomorrow is the day we get the single. I'm so ready for it.

 

With them working with different producers/musicians I can't see how there won't be different sounds/styles throughout the album.

 

Oh, I agree. I think the album will absolutely be radio friendly and that's not a bad thing. I'm kind of hoping Mark and Matt each get a song to themselves though but I don't think that'll happen.

I hope they all get sweet new signature models for this new era. I always wanted to see Mark get a signature bass collaged with past era blink logos/album art. A tribute to the blink legacy of sorts.
