XV is bad. Witcher 3-lite with voice acting straight out of a PS2 game.

Also I bought XC2, will get on it as soon as I’m done Cyberpunk Bartending.

 

If FFXV was in any other JRPG series it would have got way worse reviews.

 

The Western worlds love of Final Fantasy and criticism of every other JRPG franchise confuses me so much. Sure it's got better in recent years but there are way better JRPGs than most Final Fantasy games lol

for what it's worth I picked up Xenoblade Chronicles 2 this morning and I will eventually pick up FFXII once it's attainable for 20 bucks.

 

XC2 > FF12

 

that's what all my friends said too, one even said XC2 was the best JRPG he had ever played.

 

It's up there for me. You'll know what I think the best is.

Persona 5

 

I think I'd say Persona 4 for me personally, I just didn't jive with the characters in 5 at all, but I understand that's something very specific to me and doesn't say anything about the game.

 

but fuck me as a designer the UI work in Persona 5 was the most next level shit I've seen since wip3out.

 

The best JRPG to me is the best Pokemon and that is up for debate but actually probably White/Black or White/Black 2
