I keep forgetting it's another 80 minute episode, which means we can have all the set up done tonight for the battle next week. I wonder if they march down the Kingsroad or sail to Dragonstone. The previews for next week show boats so I guess it's the latter but I was hoping for a stop at the Twins or River Run on the way down, maybe to meet up with Bronn and give him his fooking castle(s). Or pass through The Neck and have a Meera sighting/Howland confirming the Tower of Joy for Dany since she's clearly suspicious of Sam and Bran's telling of it.

The nervous feeling in my gut of my favorites lives being in danger all but disappeared once Arya put her knife in the NK's heart, but now It's starting to creep back in. They keep hyping up Episode 5, so I'm sure they'll give us some loving moments between characters this week so they can get nice and dead next week. Ugh. The trailer for next week also had a very brief kissing scene which when I paused it def looks like Arya and Gendry again. Makes me worried they're gonna hype up their love affair only to have one (both?) die in the war in Ep 5.

I really wanna see more dealing with Jon's claim now. I hope this episode has a large chunk of time devoted to that/dany's reaction/the ramifications of it.

Honestly 95% of my timeline is politics/politics news/historians/etc liking other politics content, and the other 5% is NFL stuff, so I prob would be safe. But I can hang off of it off 6 hours haha

 

I think it’s still only a few scenes officially, so it’s probably really high on the risk scale for any social media.

I have a twitter so I can like things I find in the Absurdist Twitter thread.

 

It’s very odd that there were such specific leaks but the whole thing doesn’t seem to have gotten out, so it’s kind of like last week with those picture sets. There’s still like 70 minutes no one really know about yet, just bits and pieces.

the book BEFORE this book isn't even out yet. We legitimately don't know what it is. The Night King could be hanging dong and fighting like Spaceballs for all we know.

 

Apparently it's a foreign leak that is trying to extort money for the rest.

 

I’m always down for something to be more like Spaceballs. Always.

 

The book is going to inevitably be better because the medium just lends itself so much better to getting minute details and interactions and etc in there. The show is great and really it's just making me more excited for the books, to see how a lot of these events are set up and play out in the books

 

That’s pretty hilarious. Holding something for ransom when it comes out in just a few hours anyway AND you already showed what have to be the big moments.

 

Can't wait for Jon to fly off on Rhaegal to be a sad emo boy and Dany demands that they comb the land to look for him

A huge character development moment for Grey Worm, as he decides to be more assertive.

 

I know the popular theory* is Jon kills Dany but like, I'd love to see Grey Worm be the one to do it.

*regarding if Dany dies

 

He's so loyal to Dany since she's the one that freed him, I can't see that happening even in GRRM's twisted mind.

If Dany does die, I do lean towards it having to be Jon because I don't know who else could do it. It would be weird to have Cersei/her army do it without also winning the war overall, but I suppose it could be a murder suicide thing where she goads Dany into dracarys'ing a building in KL that also happens to be full of a Wildfire cache and she's too close to the ground on Drogon and the explosion overtakes them or something.
