I live in Pittsburgh so I'm pretty lucky. Several good shops.

I mostly go to Pittsburgh Comics: Pittsburgh Comics

Nice! That place looks cool. Mine doesn't have a dedicated website, but here's the FB page: Security Check Required

That's a weird way to display FB links ^^

So if I want to get into Spider-Gwen (and also find out why Gwen isn't still, you know) I guess I should start with the Spider-verse event? Also what is Gwenpool, non-canon guess?

She's an alternate reality character, in a world where Gwen Stacy was bit by the spider instead of Peter. She made her debut in the standalone story Edge of Spider-Verse #2 before getting her own ongoing with the same creative team. She's appeared in other stuff, but that's not essential. Just start with the Spider-Gwen vol. 0 trade.

Thanks. I'm going to read whichever on MU, so I may just read the whole event first

You don't really have to. If you want, you can read the one-shot from Edge of the Spider-Verse and go right into her main story. The only weird thing is the character she hallucinates.

Just read Flashpoint. Good stuff. That letter finally makes sense now. I think I'll read Batman's Flashpoint story too since I've heard it mentioned it was good. I need to read that Rebirth issue again now.

Also quick question, who was the woman that Barry saw in the timestream that wanted to fix the timelines? Was it Pandora? She looks bit different if it is her.

Pandora bringing the 3 together: DC, Vertigo and Wildstorm. A lot of that Pandora stuff was changed/abandoned as the New 52 went on... I never gave Pandora a second thought honestly.

Oh alright, thanks a lot, the bringing together the 3 thing confused me too. I liked her enough in the Trinity War but I didn't read any of her other titles.

Pretty sure Trinity War was originally going to be a Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman centric thing and not all the Justice Leagues the way that free comic book day book read but that story also majorly changed.

I have been getting around to reading some comics lately.

Dept. H #1 has me intrigued. Matt Kindt is a fantastic writer and I love the watercolors.

Superman: Rebirth 1 & Superman #1 were a vast improvement over the Nu52 Superman. And the Gleason art is nice. Looking forward to continuing on.

Wonder Woman: Rebirth 1 showed a lot of potential. I will always read Rucka writing Wonder Woman. The dual story lines idea is an interesting one and I can't wait to see it play out.

I'm sure the answer to this is no, but has anybody in here read Dial H or Dial H For Hero?

I read China Mieville's Dial H from the Nu52. It was quite good.

EDIT: I also read Brave & the Bold #27 by JMS which featured Dial H. That's about it.

That's the only one I read as well and enjoyed how fresh and odd it was. Haven't been able to find the original series anywhere.

Been digging into the Star Wars comics lately. Caught up with what MU has for Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Kanan, and Star Wars. Just started Lando's series this morning. I've been enjoying them and can't wait till they add a few more so I can finish up Vader Down.

The interactions between Chip and Fraction in Sex Criminals 14 is fantastic.

Just finished Batman Eternal and it was extraordinary. A few issues in the opening volume felt a bit like fluff, which makes sense considering the scope, but the race to the conclusion was an absolute blast. Pretty big time sink but so worth it. Now I finally get to read Endgame!

Finally read my copy of Nighthawk #1, pretty good read. #2 came out last week, right? I'm undecided still on picking up more issues or waiting for the trade, but either way, I'm interested in more of this story.

    anyone here into SAGA?

I generally avoid fantasty/sci fi/superhero shit (I know) but this looks pretty fucking cool so I just bought the vol 1 omnibus and am stoked!

there seems to be some sort of consenus on its greatness
