An unpopular music opinion even!

 

Did you stop listening to new music after 2006?

Those are all bands you listen to when you're 10-16 and then grow out of once you start exploring other music.

Or if you start exploring other music.

I return to those bands for me from time to time, but wouldn't include them on any current list for sure.

 

My unpopular music opinion is that I don't like Dave Grohl. I like a handful of Nirvana and Foo Fighters songs, but otherwise I think they're both overrated quite a bit and I find his personality grating and fake as hell.

 

Dave Grohl is a pretty genuine dude from what I can tell

 

I find Big Thief to be boring

 

I like Grohl as a person more than I like his music but I found Concrete and Gold to be pretty decent!

 

Foo Fighters are the kind of band where you can get everything you need from them out of their singles

more bands, esp rock bands, should play covers and generally repertoire should be much more important to every musician than it seems to be. the music u write will be better if you can play 1000 songs by 500 artists off the dome

Yeah the first three Foo Fighters records are all fantastic and then...yeah

Stopped listening after people hyped up Wasting Light as some big return to form and it certainly was not

 

I stumbled back across JC Chasez's solo songs recently (by that I mean specifically searched them out obviously) but I feel like if Timberlake had put out Blowin me up it would have been huge. Even All day I dream about sex probably too!

I used to think Fatone was pronounced like “fat one” when I was a kid and I thought it was incredibly mean for someone to give him that name haha
