Sydney has v Canada rather than the Boomers though. I spent a small fortune on melbourne flights and tix. But I prob would’ve done both regardless

  2. Honestly think DC retires before fighting Stipe again.

He wanted that big ol payday from Brock

I can see it, however this will be the fuel that ignites the flames of DC hatred more in that he’d dip out when he clearly was willing to fight this year pending health concerns.

Wow. The comment at the bottom of this screenshot. That’s his official account. I wasn’t even looking for this but I can’t not share it.

Easily my least favorite person to ever enter the octagon as a fighter next to Josh Koscheck
    And War Machine.

I don't care about the Boomers haha. I was turned off Melbourne due to it being at Etihad. I'll gladly go to USA v Canada.

My dad and I went to Melbourne 2 weeks before the 2000 Olympics and saw Team USA v Australia in mens and womens on the one night and that was at Rod Laver. Was freaking AMAZING.

Lol I think Dana is livid at the moment. Especially after all the hype. The in-ring confrontation with DC they set up, the year’s worth of answering questions and dancing around them, the Wrestlemania tease...

I would imagine his beard hair is likely falling out.

So DC will retire win or lose, right? I don't know who else he would even fight beside Jones a third time. Francis? I guess that could be cool but I don't know what that really does for him at this point. If he beats Stipe, it means even less to fight Francis and if he loses to Stipe, they'll probably do that rematch instead so.... Yeah, I don't know.

If they throw enough money at Cormier to fight Jones I feel like he would do it. This retirement thing may be a Brock Lesnar esque leverage type of deal. Who knows.

That man left LHW and blew up faster than anyone I’ve ever seen, next to Rumble. When I last saw him fight I couldn’t believe his conditioning, considering his midsection all around. Makes it even worse if he manages to lay on somebody in there at Heavyweight.

But I’m still pushing for Stipe. I’d be a shitty fan if I didn’t.

I've never had as dramatic a turnaround on anybody as much as I have had with DC. I fucking hated him during his first match with Jones. He was playing the heel and coming off like an asshole (strategically to promote the fight) and then I listened to a few interviews with him and started to turn around. Then when he lost to Jones and way crying and that whole mess I felt for him, and when he beat Stipe and cut a super babyface promo afterwards I was a huge fan. His commentating is the absolute best that MMA has to offer if you ask me, plus he's huge WWE fan and devoted father. What's there not to love about him.

Haha I was impressed by him during his Strikeforce days through his initial UFC run, but I was also annoyed with both him and Jones during their first fight (which is why I love the rivalry so much). I honestly liked him a lot more after that for whatever reason and I felt like the hate that he got was kind of uncalled for. I think by the time the second Jones fight rolled around, people kind of flipped and actually started realizing he has a lot to offer. I get if people still don't like him, but man, the whole "paper champ" comments and saying the Stipe fight was bullshit has gotten kind of old IMO.

He's a goat, I don't deny it. Mostly his attitude issues revolving Jones made him seem constantly bitter, and during a few of his later fights I was very unimpressed with some of his strategy at times. I did not enjoy the fake Brock confrontation, I think stuff like that diminishes the respect of the sport itself. Like it's making a show of it and he was all for it. But no one has beaten him aside from Jones so i've ceased believing anyone would run through him.

It's way too late, or much too early Prestigious

Im so so glad Brock isn't coming back. Brock had his time with the UFC and the fight with Mark was fine I guess. But to put throw him in against the champ just because he's a big name is just ridiculous in my opinion. I could see why WWE fans might wanna see him in the octagon again but other than that, I just don't get it. I get that its a money fight but I don't understand why MMA fans would wanna see him fight again.

DC vs. Stipe on the other hand has my full attention. This is the fight I've wanted all along.

That’s an exaggerated claim. But I’m pretty sure it was close to 10 pounds haha.
