I know it won’t win the album but Ohio is one of my favorites on here. The subject matter is so relatable to me (leaving and moving from Ohio to start over, missing it but knowing you’re making the right call). Like the first time I heard it I got goosebumps

I know everybody loves it, but Paper Rain just does not do it for me at all. Not my least favorite on the album but definitely well into the lower half.

 

Since the song is about leaving Ohio and you’re still there I’ll allow it

As I go thru these songs again I’m thinking a lot of this album sounds super phoned in to me. Which feels weird to say for someone of Andrews caliber but at this point I feel like I’ve heard most songs on a previous record.

 

Wow. See I feel like this is his most genuine and honest album. Complete opposite of you

 

Yea I mean to his credit I don’t think it sounds dishonest or inauthentic or anything, and I’ve always been a more casual AM fan so I don’t look into the songs as much, but I feel like I’ve heard enough songs about moving away and how he used to be in a band lol.
