Look at those numbers. It’s wild. This is why they (allegedly) want to put a cheaper, smaller Switch out there.

There's still a load of 3DS games that I want to play that I haven't yet. Has an amazing library, especially when you include DS games

 

I say this a lot but the 3DS is one of the greatest gaming devices of all time. All of the amazing original DS games plus all of the fantastic 3DS games gives it a crazy strong library.

 

It is maybe the best because it is backwards compatible, otherwise the DS would be better I think. Still, it has great library all by itself too.

 

I even still buy DS games I never got around to.

Man, I miss the dual screens.

 

I just wish it was region free

 

The DS is at least, and luckily it carried over, meaning any 3DS will play any DS game (with very, very few exceptions).

 

3DS has an awesome virtual console too, especially if you have the New model

 

DSi isn't though, don't think my DS lite works still so the only one I have is a DSi XL. I have quite a few American DS games because we used to have to wait way longer to get games like Pokemon

 

The 3DS VC is so, so good. Portable Earthbound and Super Metroid, plus all of the Gen 1 and 2 Pokémon games, PLUS Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons and Link's Awakening DX, is pretty tough to beat.

 

Only DSi exclusives are region locked, I think. At least on 3DS. There are however very few of those.

I looked it up again and yeah on DSi only DSi exclusive games should be region locked. Same for 3DS. You can find a list of those games.

 

Random Minecraft question: if I get Minecraft for the Switch, does anyone know if that account can be used on PC? Or do you need a separate, paid account by platform?

Used to love that game in high school when it was still in beta, but I forgot the password to that old account and the linked email address no longer exists. Kinda want it, but worry about how annoying the controls would be on a console vs PC

On most platforms, including Switch, you can log into Minecraft with your Microsoft account. If you don’t have one, you can make one for free. You do have to pay for Switch online I assume, if you want to play online.

 

BOXBOY! + BOXGIRl! is out. These games are amazing, in case you don’t know. There’s a demo too so no excuses.

literally bought a Switch for this game

 

Started a new OoT 3D file today, man this game is so fun. I've probably played it at least 100 times in my life and I never really get tired of it. It's been a couple years since I've 100% completed it though, so I think I'll do that. I've been playing all evening and I'm already almost at the Fire Temple with all available items/collectibles. I gotta work in the morning but I don't want to stop playing, ugh

I'm gonna get Majora's Mask 3D at some point this week I think but I heard they kinda made it a lot easier/changed some shit, so not stoked on that
