I used to really hate TOYPAJ but now I've come around to it. A lot of it is still pure cheese though.

  2. Pure cheese is pretty much definitionally Blink-182 to me. Heh.

The TOYPAJ era was my peak fandom for them.

  5. 2001-2002 were just iconic, I was hyped on Blink and getting into NFG and Sum 41 and playing a lot of Tony Hawk lol

I imagine TOYPAJ era was most people's peak

I didn't get into them until after Enema blew them up so that was the first album I was waiting for it to come out and despite the flaws an album doesn't get much more fun. And they were obviously everywhere tv-wise

  8. I remember being in 9th grade and running my ass home from school to catch them on TRL for that performance. I also remember running home to see the premiere of "The Rock Show" music video. Good times.

Good old days when you had to be in front of a tv at a specific time for things lol

  10. Just about every morning before school, I'd pop in a video tape into my VCR, switch to VH1, and hit record. And when I'd get home, I'd rewind the tape and watch the VH1 Top 10 Countdown. What a time to be alive, haha.

  11. I remember trying to get rips of the videos to upload at like postage stamp sizes for people to watch.

I taped so much haha. Pretty much every relevant late night performance. I feel like I spent all my time watching tv with my thumb on the pause button haha

Is that TRL reboot still on? I demand they debut the single on MTV

Probably would have to be on Floribama Shore actually nvm

Idk what even is on MTV now. Last show I found about was when SNL spoofed Floribama and I couldn't believe when I found out that was a real thing lol

Back in like 2001/2 I probably rocked out playing along to TOYPAJ (and EOTS) in my bedroom more times than the band themselves have ever played all the songs live.

At a party if any song comes on which was on the MT&T Show, whoever I’m with and singing along with we will ALWAYS change the lyrics/say whatever Mark/Tom do on that live album.

    “TOOOOOOOO TRAVIS!!!!”

  19. I need a version with the “comedy” totally removed

I like the comedy bits on the live album. They make more sense there than joke songs do in albums in the 2010s

Tom and Mark have genuine comedic chemistry and can be legitimately funny. They also said a lot of things from 1992-2004 that are indefensible lol
