A couple of months ago I said I'd get a Blink tattoo if I loved California. Welp..

 

They talked about how they made references to a bunch of California bands; I found one!!!

I really like the title track. Great closer, IMO.

 

This album is great for Summer, can tell I'll love listening to this while hanging out and having beers with my friends that like blink.

Lyrically, it's mostly kind of not great - but I've never looked to blink for lyrics, not since I was aged between 10 and 18 anyway. (Some of Matts parts are pretty cool though)

Blinks "Calafornia" and Weezer's "The White Album" will be my favourite feel good albums of 2016 I reckon. I'd cut out the joke songs, they are just totally pointless. I'll probably delete them from iTunes, doubt it'll hurt the flow.

Los Angeles is the oddity in the first half, but I still enjoy it and Calafornia is fine, don't see the fuss, cheesy sure but heh.

Matt Skiba's bridge of San Diego. Damn. Loved that. Might be my current highlight. All in all, it's a lot of new blink-182 that ranges from good to great. I'm happy.

 

Agree with basically all of this. Gonna steal that "feel good albums of ..." line.

Yeah the San Diego chorus is outrageous. I mean, they all are.

The the shouty part of "Sober" is so something I feel like only Stump would think to do there (and I love it). GIMME MORE STUMP AND HOPPUS CO-WRITES.

I caved and read the thread (I'd have too much to catch up on) not listening yet but I can tell I'm pretty much guaranteed to love this.

 

I've spent my whole life in San Diego, saw The Cure here recently and I'm moving to LA in the next few months leaving everyone I know here behind. That song is really getting me, wow.

 

So far loving this album. Was a bit skeptical after Rabbit Hole and No future, but damn this is a pretty diverse album and I like that. I don't even care about the whoas or the Mark/Matt formula, the music is just too damn good!

 

California is epic. This album rules.
