Just listened to that - fuck, I love Matt's lyrics. The metaphors he uses are beautiful.

 

I think people will come around on "California" (the song). That 60's melody, the fact they tried something different, it's a little out there (experimentation!??), but I do think people will come around on that one in time.

 

well obviously its all over blinks previous releases but jeez, its approaching T-Pain levels with this record. for marks parts at least, matts vox seem fairly natural sounding.

 

The Only Thing That Matters reminds me of all the best parts of Dude Ranch.

True that. I find it interesting how rarely people mention Beach Boys' influences when talking about Blink. Those bands are more similar than one would think.

 

I love the way Matt sings the chorus on " She's Out Of Her Mind ".

 

The backing music in Disney movies is fucking phenomenal. I like this album, but it's no where near that good.

 

Are people all over Tom now? Are we done pining for the Space Cadet? Glory to Skiba!

 

Left Alone's chorus reminds me of Don't Panic-era All Time Low in the best way possible.

 

"I never wanted to know how deep these cuts on you go" - That line's a highlight for me

Unless you're the type of person who's an AVA fan first and a Blink fan second (I think a few exist)

 

I still haven't heard the album but it sounds like it's far better than what I feared. I wanted it to be varied (sounds like it), whereas I thought it'd be 13 Bored To Deaths and 1 ballad.

 

So for months the rumor was that it would be something in between TOYPAJ and Untitled and I think that's proving to be accurate

"The Only Thing that Matters" sounds like you took Blink and Alkaline Trio songs and tossed them in a blender, I love it.

Yup. Completely in love with this album. This is what I want from blink.

 

I didn't enjoy this as much as Neighborhoods on first listen. It's obviously a lot more upbeat and poppier than Neighborhoods, but I'll need some more time with it. Second listen in 3, 2, 1...

 

Home is absolutely beautiful. Wow.

 

I play it over and over again. I really love that part.

 

"California" ... should/could be the new official theme song for the state of California in all those TV ads
