Yeah I was more interested in AVA when blink was initially just working with Feldmann but now I’m optimistic for the new blink album

 

Yeah I like that I feel like I have no idea what to expect from blink

I doubt AVA is gonna change that much

 

The only band that I can think of recently is Fall Out Boy when they released Young And Menace before they announced an album title.

 

I agree with this post.

 

Its safe to say that the fans of the blink universe will be spoiled for the coming year, with blink, AVA and SC releasing music. And also Alkaline recently.

 

I know Tom hasn't released new music since 2016 (or 2017 if you count the 4 acoustic WDNTW songs) but I can't see how his musical style is going to change much even with the time off. I don't really expect anything different or good from Tom moving forward. I know he loves teasing how his stuff is fast sounding or back to his punk roots or is BCR like but it just never ends up sounding that way.

And I'm not trying to be a Tom hater, I just really haven't liked any of his non blink music since 2007 outside of a song or two. I hope he can prove me wrong and I will fully admit it if he does.

 

The 1975 also did this last year with A Brief Inquiry.

 

Feldman, Pagnotta, and Pharrell all write pop songs. I'm not that optimistic for it being "experimental"

 

I really have no idea what to expect from Blink this time around, but I hope that even though most of (if not all) of the songs have different songwriters/producers, it still sounds enough like Blink for me to enjoy it as a Blink-182 album, if that makes sense. AKA not like Steve Aoki feat. Blink-182 on each of the songs.

 

Untitled had amazing pop songs on it. It also had darker and more experimental stuff. If this album sounds like California II I’ll be super disappointed but the quality of their collaborators and how they’ve talked about the tone of the album is up my alley.

 

This basically states how I feel.

I’ll still def check out new AvA but I’m not that optimistic

 

One of those headliner bands really sticks out compared to the rest...

Also, Bad Religion and Bring Me The Horizon on the same day is fuuunnnny given Brian Baker and BMTH not getting along after Brian calling them out.

 

Now people can dig through the ditches, burn through the witches and slam in the back of their Dragulas while being bored To Death and fading fast. Truly a combo made in heaven

Honestly, Mark and Tom could each fart into a microphone and I'd be excited to hear it.

 

And if they were in the same room at the same time recording it with a producer it would be a hit!

 

Tom doesn’t want to fart there...
