For real though, in case anyone can't tell I am joking. Atlantic is great. I still would probably rank it last on Vheissu and if I ranked every single Thrice song, I might actually have it lower than Listen Through Me. I love M/M though and never got the hate for it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Dustin's voice sounds great in it, I love the keyboard, the lead guitar, the cool build up to each chorus and Riley's kick ass drumming in the bridge. Before reading this site I never would have guessed it was hated so much.

We can disagree with him though. Artists opinion can be different than fans. The experiences are attached in different ways.

 

atlantic is basically the first song they wrote with a Rhodes, so they thought it was better than it really was.

 

but hey, it gave us water.

 

some of Water undoubtedly improves on Atlantic but some of its a whole lot worse too, EP is hella inconsistent

 

I could dump water on my keyboard right now, and it would add more to this thread than Coleslawed ever has.

The people who moan about thread quality never seem to add any.

I think it’s a testament to a great band that we all have so many different opinions on what we like/don’t like from them. When you have an eclectic discog certain albums/sounds are going to cater more to different people’s tastes.
