Even as a fan of a rival team, it's hard for me to dislike the Avs. Maybe it's b/c they have so many former Preds, and also a lot of players I'd love to be a Pred.

 

It's super easy for me to dislike the Avs :/

It's wild that they're in the central instead of Edm or Cgy. I definitely rooted for those 90s teams, they were just so damn fun. I feel like a lot of hockey fans feel the same.

 

According to the podcast I listened to, their jerseys sold really well in Calgary in the 90s sooo

The Flames were terrible and the Avalanche bandwagon was strong.

Peter Forsberg was my favourite non-Iginla player as a kid and Patrick Roy was my favourite goalie. Cale Makar won a championship for my hometown Jr. "A" team. I still can't bring myself to appreciate them right now.

 

Well, I mean, you're facing them in the playoffs haha
