I don’t really see how they’re gonna make the case that a child’s doll being able to control smart home devices is a selling point for child OR mother

 

The first Child's play is one of my favourite films ever

 

question, my buddy and I were just talking about the whole app and house tech aspect of Chucky and that it'd be cool to see a thriller where the house AI takes over, and I swearrrrr I've see that movie already, but I can't pinpoint it. anyone have any thoughts? haha

hahah that might be it, but I feel like there was more of a horror movie too. also, I just imdb'd that movie, Levar Burton as director?? amazing

 

Maybe Treehouse of Horror? I think they did an episode with a HAL type story.

 

I honestly think this is what I'm thinking of and I was just imagining a live action version haha

The Lodge looks so good, very exciting

 

The Lodge looks so good. A little disappointed because the first shot of the lead made me think Gillian Jacobs was starring in a horror film. haha.


Edit: I'm kinda feeling the Chucky trailer too but will probably wait to rent it

 

Braid was great

 

Going to go see The Curse of La Llorona tomorrow. I've heard it's not great, but I need to get out of the house so I figured it would be a good excuse to do so.

Finally got home from work and I can’t find The Lodge trailer any where :( Neon has them all pulled because it wasn’t their “official” trailer.

Edit: already been brought up haha. My bad. I’m still bummed because it sounds awesome.

 

The Nun was terrrrible

 

Curse of La Llorona was like The Nun for me. Entertaining for the time I was watching it, but left little impact, and will likely not go out of my way to see it again.

 

sometimes I'm okay with watching a movie like that. nothing special but entertained for a couple hours haha

 

Yeah, it's perfect what it is sure. Sure I'd like something more caliber like The Witch or Hereditary, but it did its job.

 

Watched Child's Play and Child's Play 2 last night for the first time. That was fun. The trailer for the remake looks awful.

 

Going to actually postpone seeing this since I haven't been feeling great today. I'll likely just end up watching something on Netflix, Amazon, or Hulu later so I at least get my horror fix in today. Aside from trying to finish up Skeleton Crew by Stephen King anyway.

 

You should give Braid a go. It's on Amazon.

 

Has anyone seen The Awakening with Rebecca Hall? That's on Netflix I think, might check it out this weekend.
