I dont remember ever seeing a movie with an intermission. and not LotR either, but I was young.

 

My movie theater delivers Long Island Ice Teas to my seat. I def drink during the movie. I ain't sorry.

 

Eating and drinking at the movies is like half of the experience for me!!! It's too fun to give up

I just try not to eat really loudly during quiet parts of serious movies

 

I never eat or drink during a movie. Mostly because I don't want to spend theater prices for bad food

 

I always bring my own bottle of water to drink because drinks at the theater are so expensive, but I'm still too weak to resist the popcorn a lot of the time. It's just so damn good.

 

and the constant smell of people farting for 3 hours

 

So my theater is like crazy expensive because it's part of a Davios steakhouse and is like a legit restaurant so i figure it's worth it to do the dinner and a movie experience since it's rare i go to the movies. May as well enjoy it to the max.

 

Davos Seaworth owns a steakhouse?!

A 3 hour Star Wars movie would really test me. It’s rare that any 3+ hour movie justifies it, Endgame made me balk at its runtime even if I sort of understand mechanically that it can be argued it’s “necessary”

 

I have no idea who Davos is lol. Davios is a legit steakhouse in Boston.

 

I'd typically agree that 3 hours is too long, but the ninth and final movie in a 4-decade long saga seems like an okay exception.

As oppose to Endgame being like the 22nd film in 1 decade, that seems like super overkill to me.

 

I don’t see a world in which a Star Wars movie ends up being a complete 3+ hours without anything that could be cut. I totally get fans wanting it and loving every second of it, but from a storytelling perspective I wouldn’t bet on it.

 

I think it's mainly that I drink WAY too much coffee so by the time the movie rolls around I still have to pee whether I get a soda or not.

I did see The Desolation of Smaug for the first time at a theater that brings food and drinks and as the movie kept going and getting more and more atrocious I just kept ordering martinis and got hammered.

I've never been myself, but everyone who has ever mentioned going to Davio's says it is incredible.

 

Im the ridiculous person who wants a mainline trilogy made in a series format rather than films.

Also, I would nearly prefer to never be in a movie theater again.

 

It's reeeeeeal good. One of the better steaks i've had.

 

The Mandalorian footage on Reddit looked pretty great .

 

If anyone is in Connecticut, i got a good steak at the David Burke Prime place. SUPER good meal. Just throwing that out there.

I always get popcorn for big movies like this. I'll occasionally get a beer before now that it's an option at my local theater. I generally don't drink anything for a couple of hours before the movie and then use the bathroom near the end of the previews.

 

I'll get a hot dog, popcorn, or Milk Duds but practically never a drink.

 

I remember Fellowship of the Ring had an intermission when I saw it

 

ha! I'm not crazy!

But I do remember thinking it was weird because I didn't get one every time I saw it. I believe it was different theaters as well.

 

God I wish. I just really love a good steak so when I have one it’s memorable.
