Imagine thinking you know anything about Star Wars and suggesting that Jedi should use lightning to attack their enemies.

Long as hell. Like two Avengers: Endgames combined. No intermission. True fans pee their pants where they sit.

Imagine loving a movie where it shows that is possible and then making snarky remarks when someone brings it up.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's not possible. Jedi do not use lightning to attack their enemies. You have no idea what you're talking about.

I agree they don’t but there’s no need to phrase it this way brother. Dude had an innocent idea. Explain why if you don’t agree

No reason to call people names and act like a bully, man.

There's context here you aren't aware of, I'll leave it at that

And you or Luke or Yoda or that guy or nobody owns the idea of what is or isn't "possible" for a Jedi.

I've read through the whole TLJ and this thread to see enough context. Still no reason to bully someone that you disagree with.

Not from these threads, I'm not trying to derail this thread, I'm not getting into it here

Well, if there's an actual problem going on behind the scenes or elsewhere, then I'm sure the guidelines can and will be used by Jason or a moderator. No need to be a bully, still.

I think it's kind of crazy that in a movie where the force now lots you fly through the vacuum or space and can call lightning down on a house, you can still call back to a line in the 2nd movie to disprove what Jedi's "can't do". Won't do maybe, but why can't they?

Apologies for being sick of getting antagonized by people on this site in your presence. I'll just let it happen next time.

  23. Here's the current canon explanation: Force lightning

To quote Darth Plagueis, from a Legends novel:
A Jedi sufficiently strong in the Force can be trained to produce a facsimile, but not true Sith lightning, which, unabated, has the power not only to incapacitate or kill, but to physically transform the victim. Force lightning requires strength of a sort only a Sith can command because we accept consequence and reject compassion. To do so requires a thirst for power that is not easily satisfied."

If you want to really nerd out, you can Google something like Star Wars and "Electric Judgment" but, in the end, the idea of Jedi using the Force for violence and attack goes against just about everything the Jedi purport to stand for. (And doing it with lightning is a big no no.)

Miss me with this bad faith crap. I didn't quote anyone in particular and you aren't the only person who voiced that (very wrong) opinion. Try again.

Oh, well I totally agree that the lightning wouldn't be used in any way like the other user was describing. I just felt the bullying attitude was a bit too much and unwarranted.
