I think California is to Neighborhoods as TBEITBN is to MM for me. They both do what they should for the respective bands very well. One's a better album, but one is way more fun, and they both are very much "the band."

Hahaha I mean The Rock Show is the absolute definition of generic cliches. The guy wrote it in ten minutes. And I love it. But I've never seen so many baseless complaints in my life haha.

 

I was actually just thinking about that the other day. It was stuck in my head, and I was humming along when it suddenly hit me that the song is basically terrible. Like I'll always love it for nostalgia reasons, but I was thinking of the lyrics and I couldn't stop cringing.
