Been very much enjoying What's With These Homies Talkin' About Weezer with Matt Apodaca if anyone is interested in an album-by-album, track-by-trackt podcast! Discovered through Doughboys. He recently had Sadie from Speedy Ortiz on to talk about Songs From the Black Hole.

 

Also my vinyl is black/clear split down the middle, very rad

Came in to also rec this podcast. I just listened to the Maladroit episode wherein one of the guests was the SNL writer who wrote the sketch. It was nice for Matt to finally get some Weezer fans on his show since the 3 episodes were guests who judged the first 3 albums pretty harshly.

I stopped after the Pinkerton ep. Gabrus on Blue was good though

 

I love Pinkerton as much as the next fan, but I'm so used people worshipping it that I didn't mind hearing takes from some fresh ears tbh. Also glad the guests aren't just white dudes who love Weezer (like myself)

Watching the Coachella webcast right now and I've seen Rivers look this damn happy on stage

 

Yeah, they killed it. Rivers was having an absolute blast.

 

Rivers looked like he was on cocaine and I was into it lol a little sloppy at times, but they looked like they were having a blast and the crowd was loving it.

 

Did Rivers say he was retiring at 50 or 60?

 

And THAT is how you do Coachella! Man, what I would have done to have been there. One of their best. You could feel all that rock and love they gave. I don't think my smile ever left my face during that set. I already need to rewatch that stream ASAP. =w= ride or die! =w= SO proud to be riding with Weeze.

 

I’ve seen Weezer 5 times and I’m contemplating seeing their Coachella set next week over Aphex Twin lmao

That was pretty fun! Bringing out Tears For Fears and Chilli is so Weezer of them

 

I ended up rewatching again this morning. They were so good!
It was really cute seeing how Rivers didn't wanna leave that stage.

 

I could watch that ending on a loop. He is adorable.

 

The jumping fist pumps he did at the end made me so happy

 

at this point it would be more surprising if this wasn't a Minions themed album
