I finally watched the lyric video. I can't believe people were complaining about the actual lyric video. It's so completely fine as a lyric video. A few camera moves are way above and beyond what most of these videos are as well.

 

Lol now I'm picturing him wandering through a desert with that stupid broken cheap Fender on his shoulder looking sad.

 

Here's the thing I want someone to whisper to Tom: if you actually found anything, literally, anything ... you wouldn't need to do any press releases/interviews saying you're doing stuff and hype up its importance. Like, you'd literally release the information that would change the world. Otherwise, oh my god shut up.

 

Better delivered than those last four AVA releases.

 

Am I stupid/crazy, or is John Feldmann singing at 2:31 on No Future? The echoing "did she go" doesn't sound like Mark or Matt to me.

Edit: oh, the dude from Mest. That makes sense, seeing as how I always got them and Goldfinger mixed up when I was a kid, haha.

I asked earlier because it doesn't sound like either of them during the part where the music goes quiet either. I can definitely hear their voices in the mix, but it sounds like there's more people/another person. I didn't assume who it was though, maybe I'm just not familiar enough with Mark's voice to recognize it in this instance and it's just mixed to sound like that.

 

Well now I feel dumb, haha.

It definitely doesn't sound like Mark, but I guess it could be Matt. Just seems odd (but not impossible) that they'd have him echo himself in a lower register as opposed to just having Mark sing it.

 

You know what song is really good? "Left Alone"

Personally, I'm dying to hear Home is Such a Lonely Place. Sounds right up my alley.

The whole theme of the album is how Tom has ruined California for the other guys because he still lives there.

 

I saw someone post a photo on Reddit the other day about visiting Poway Highschool full on with photos of sitting out front. I thought that was funny. My college roommate went to Poway and we had a good laugh.

And then someone else posted a photo of Sombreros ... which is really not very good and there's so much better in so cali.

 

The lyrics to LA really should just be "this place is the fucking worst." Drum beat. Guitar. Out.

Hmmm... I think this is an okay song. But I think it's flaws outweigh the stuff I do like about it tho. Kind of a weird one. I don't know, this song is extremely conflicting to me lol
