I think the true biggest fear of a rusty trombone is an accidental fart, which I want to believe adds to the overall sense of danger and excitement when performing such a thing. That said, I will probably never take part in that.

Yes bc when he asked for it he was telling me how to do it and I thought he was just fucking with me and had made it up. But alas it is real.

 

I'm just picturing a guy who has that wiki photo at the ready so when he asks for it by name if the person doesn't know what it is he can be like "no see here like this" and show them the picture

My favorite part of this picture is the guy's right arm because that has to be the hardest thing to decide when illustrating a Rusty Trombone. Like, what is the guy supposed to do with his right arm at a time like this? At the sides would be weird, so they went with kinda the clenched fist at his chest thing like he's practicing a speech into an invisible mic. Personally I'd have gone palms outstretched before him like praise hands
