I can't help but gush over how McCutchen plays the game still. I hadn't dug deep into his numbers but is he HOF worthy ?

That's a damn shame, he's everything you'd want in a ball player. I think Utley is in the same spot.

 

I bet Utley gets in. He had essentially the same career as Ryne Sandberg, who is in the HOF. Utley had a fantastic career through and through, great hitting, good defense, and an exceptional baserunner.

Cutch as it stands really isn’t close. If he’s productive into his late 30s, he’s go a chance imo

 

Remember when Ryne Sandberg was the manager of Phillies when they were horrendously terrible about five years ago? What a weird coda for the guy's career

 

I remember when Cubs fans were eagerly awaiting him being given the helm of the Cubs. I think he won minor league manager of the year or something at some point. It sucks he managed some god awful teams

What is this 25 pitches in TWO innings nonsense? Doesn't he know he's supposed to do that just in the 1st?

 

I looked at the lineup this morning and can't believe what I'm seeing after just ... two weeks from opening day. I hope people can start getting healthy and they can make a nice run in the middle of the season and gel and look like they're having fun, cause right now so many of the players just look tight and worried to me. Egg shells. No one wants to get hurt heh.
