Also, that scene of Rey jumping could be some kind of force manipulation or force bond scene. I think there’s def some trickery there, bc Kylo would just shoot her otherwise

 

JJ said they didn’t just kill her off screen.

 

There's many ways around that with her still dying during the time jump like flashbacks or showing scenes that occur during the time jump later in the film.

 

The opening scene with Rey may not even be in the film. It kinda gave me a "scene filmed strictly for a trailer" vibe. Idk why

 

Who says that is Kylo flying it? Jar Jar is a pilot according to canon

 

Might want to spoiler tag that. Don't want to give away who's actually piloting it.

 

But that doesn’t square with JJ literally telling us she doesn’t die off screen

I would be absolutely fine with Ben getting a redemption arc in this film. With the return of Palpatine I could see Ben teaming up with Rey to take him down.

 

Wow, I didn't even see the blaster any of the times I watched the trailer. That's crazy, it's right there.

Not his blaster per se but the one he gave her in TFA? But kylo kidnapped her when she had it so idunno she probably just dropped it in the woods yea ?

 

She had it on Ach-To that’s what she tries to shoot Kylo with

I get a strong Nathan Drake vibe every time I see Poe in that outfit

 

So if it really is a new order or Force Users I’m feelin like I may have liked Rise of the Skywalkers more. It just rolls off the tongue better. If it is just one singular skywalker that is referenced I actually do really love The Rise of Skywalker but I don’t want Luke or Anakin to be revived or anything. I think the best scenario for me is if Rey takes the mantle of Skywalker and it references her who’s the legend of her generation.

Also could just be referencing Kylos rise since he is a Skywalker and is the leader of the galaxy which he believes to be “finishing” what Vader started.

I’m in total irrational nerd theory mode lol I LOVE BEING CONFUSED!

 

I think "The Rise of Skywalker" is so clunky. "Rise of the Skywalker" sounds infinitely better to me, and for whatever reason it also sounds slightly less specific to me, which I like. When I think about it though, I think I like it so much because it sounds to me like the name of an order, like The Jedi. The Skywalker. It doesn't really make sense without an 'S' at the end, but I don't like the way it sounds with an 'S'. I realize this is quite silly.

 

Let’s be real the only reason they did this is to avoid both Revenge of the Sith and Rise of the Skywalkers being ROTS as an acronym which would be annoying when ranking them

 

They know how much we love to rank.

 

It being of Skywalker and not of the Skywalker says a lot in itself. I think it’s a clear reference to the bloodline and not a person.
