I read tweets like that as more anti trump than pro Ilhan

 

They put out releases all the time. You telling me they can’t upload a written message to give to the press? You may remember the days after the fact that Pelosi tried to back Ilhan, but I remember the days of just letting her sit there, unsupported. Cool, I guess better late than never but if that’s the bar when it comes to people inciting violence on your colleague then I guess I’m arguing for raising the bar.

I don’t get how anyone can look at this situation and say “well let’s wait a week because the people we've elected in our modern, technology-driven world can’t work Twitter — or pay someone to work Twitter for them,” and feel good about that.

 

I think there's a very wide range of emotions between "feeling good about" it and saying some version of 'This person is Donald Trump-lite due to their not commenting right away'...and I think the influence of social media pushing the narrative of 'everyone sucks equally' on low information voters is sometimes underrated. But that's just a gut feeling of mine.

I’ve seen this sketch as a kid but now realize it was a precursor for Mike Myers reacting stunned on camera as to what the person next to him said

I imagine we’ll hear her say more on camera in the coming days.

All the people who said that their lack of statements amounted to tacit/implicit support of what people like Crenshaw and Trump were saying/doing?

That's not a good statement from a party leader.

At most it's an anti trump/pro military statement.

Does not mention Omar or islamaphobia at all.
