I might be naive but I feel like I've at least enjoyed everything I've seen that JJ was involved in. What's the worry? Does he have trouble sticking the landing?

Okay, I am fully aware that this is a very silly quibble, but I like 'Rise of the Skywalker' so much better than 'The Rise of Skywalker', both linguistically, like just as a phrase, and also in its implications and what it could mean.

I would have loved to have been part of that standing ovation and chant for Kelly Marie Tran. That was so great to see.

 

Im going to rewatch that ovation so many times when I need to be reminded of what the majority of SW fandom really is.

That is NUTS!!! I have never heard that one, but I love stuff like that! Can't ask the director now.

 

I feel like JJ’s Star Wars films are pretty similar to what a Spielberg Star Wars would look like. JJ doesn’t really try to hide how much he is inspired by the dude.

Also, to talk about the actual trailer, it really exceeded my expectations. The shot of Rey flipping over Kylo’s TIE is the most lit shit I’ve ever seen.
