    I’m listening. Lol.

For me, maybe 9-10, definitely not 15

  3. Before everyone posts their RB rankings, I'll go ahead and tell you that you have McCaffery too low on your list.

If he goes another year struggling to stay healthy then he will drop on my list. Availability is the best ability. A healthy Fournette though is squarely and clearly an upper-half talent and I wouldn’t even entertain disputing that haha

    The rivalry is back on

What if he’s an upper half talent like Trent Richardson who has the physical tools but doesn’t have the drive to be a top 10 RB even when healthy?

In no particular order i'd take these guys over Fournette

    Bell
    Gurley
    Kamara
    Barkley
    Elliot
    McCaffery
    Johnson
    Gordon
    Chubb
    Conner

after that you could convince me of other RB's at 11, but Fournette could slot in there

    not in any order

    Gurley
    Elliott
    Barkley
    Kamara
    CMC
    David Johnson
    Mixon
    Chubb
    Melvin Gordon
    Sony Michel
    Bell

    thats without even thinking tbh

Disregarding moral bias, looking at talent alone:

    Bell
    Barkley
    Elliott
    Gurley
    Kamara
    CMC
    Hunt
    Gordon

    MAYBE:
David Johnson (post ACL - before that injury he was higher)
James Conner (I don’t think he’s more talented but he’s obviously highly consistent)
    Joe Mixon

So at worst Fournette is still my #12 back in the league. If he bounces back you can take away the “maybes” and put him at 9. Then you take away Elliott and Hunt cause they’re douchebags so if Fournette has a healthy year again, he is my 7th favorite back in the league.

Lmao this was a big oversight on my part I was just looking at 2018 stats

There’s no way Chubb or Michel is better than Fournette haha

Trent Richardson was never an upper half lol. He’s slow, terrible vision, only good at breaking tackles in college. Fournette is head and shoulders above that blatant draft bust

    Lets Go. Prestigious

Fournette's career YPC is 3.7 (neither year over 4.0)

Chubb was at 5.2 YPC last year

Chubb has a TD every 21 touches. Fournette has a TD every 29 touches

Chubb is really good it just took Cleveland half the year to realize it

Oh boy the YPC argument. Not like that has way more to do with gameflow and OL performance or anything.

If your OL is a dumpster fire with NINE (9) injuries, and your OC is predictable about always running up the middle, always running on first down, always running 35 times a game? Any back would fail to reach 4 YPC

  17. xbrokendownx

    Lets Go. Prestigious

I remember last summer when I was told 4.0 YPC was good.

4.0 YPC ranks 36th in the NFL in 2018

    The rivalry is back on

This sounds like Trent Richardson’s Colts

besides the 35 runs/game, which makes him look even worse that he didn’t get that

YPA might be a more meaningful stat and it looks even worse

    Chubb - 5.2
    Fournette - 3.7

Not sure why? We aren’t discussing total yards we’re discussing YPC. It statistically makes sense that more runs means less diverse playcalling, more predictable runs, and thus more defenders & playcalls committed to stopping the run.

  22. xbrokendownx

    Lets Go. Prestigious

when Fournette was a rookie when he was "Good" he was under 4.0 YPC so I am not sure I am buying the bad team bad OL argument from 2018

  23. Randall Mentzos

When you hit a mothafucka, you hit that mothafucka Prestigious

I remember when Melvin Gordon only got 3.0-3.5 YPC his first two years with a terrible line and everyone blamed him and thought he wasn’t good

Still had Nathaniel Hackett. You saw us lose the AFCCG and Fournette only get 3. Something YPC despite having a good game because of his terribly predictable strategy. We quite literally have been trying to force Fournette through brick walls of defenders that know he’s coming and know our passing attack isn’t a threat.

You meat mash any RB like that into the line against a defense that isn’t even respecting the pass and he’s gonna struggle to be efficient

With more balance in our offense. You would absolutely see those numbers spike

I dont' even really like Melvin Gordon that much so taht should tell you how I feel about Fournette lmao
